GENEVA — Land Rover introduced its 2010 Freelander 2 at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show this week. Alongside it was a special Range Rover called the Westminster, which will be built in a limited edition of 300.The Range Rover TDV8 Westminster goes on sale in the U.K. at the end of this month. It's a cosmetic package featuring 20-inch diamond-turned wheels, Westminster tailgate badges, half-wood steering wheel, stainless-steel-accented pedals and interior jet-on-jet or ivory-jet two-tone color schemes. The Westminster is priced at the equivalent of $88,900. Exclusive Marina Black metallic exterior paint brings the Westminster's price up to $90,320.Alongside the gussied-up Range Rover was the 2010 Freelander 2, known in the U.S. as the LR2. Changes to the Freelander 2 are modest but include the addition of standard 'intelligent' stop/start on all diesel-powered manual Freelander 2s. Remote central locking, Roll Stability Control and Dynamic Stability Control and seven airbags are all part of the 2010 Freelander 2 lineup.GS and XS models get hands-free Bluetooth, an Alpine multimedia system and heated front seats.
