DETROIT — The redesigned 2010 Chevrolet Equinox will make its debut next month at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show. The midsize crossover, which will come with a choice of two new gasoline direct-injection engines, is scheduled to go on sale in mid-2009.Chevrolet revealed details last week on the new four-cylinder and V6 DI engines. Now it has released the first official images of the 2010 Equinox, which is a companion to the redesigned 2010 Cadillac SRX and the upcoming Saab 9-4X.The most noticeable change on the new Equinox is the evolution of the face, which now shares a distinct family resemblance to those of the Traverse and the Malibu.Chevy says the 2010 Equinox will be marketed in LS, LT and LTZ trim levels, in both front- and all-wheel-drive variants. All models will come with six airbags, four-wheel disc brakes, stability and traction control, OnStar and XM Satellite Radio.
