Chrysler to show dealers Chevy Volt rival on Sept. 23rd
Chrysler was flaunting its plug-in hybrid plans a week before the debut of the 2011 Chevrolet Volt. Now the automaker is set to show its dealer body an electric-car that will compete with Volt on Sept. 23rd. Chrysler?will hold a national dealer telecast at 100 theaters across the country.
Steven Landry, executive vice president of North American sales, sent?a memo was sent on Sept. 16 inviting dealers for a meeting at local movie theaters in their area. The memo said that dealers will get a chance to see Chryslers clear vision for the future and share with you some exciting, cutting-edge product!
Chryslers vice chairman and president Jim Press was out earlier this month showing three ‘electric-vehicle prototypes’ to select?Chrysler dealers. Press said that the producible prototypes will allow for a 300 mile range and will do 0 to 60 mph in less than four seconds.
Chrysler showed off three electric- vehicle concepts at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show in January.
