BMW increases 2009 model pricing by 2.1 percent

BMW of North America today announced prices for its 2009 models with a price increase of 2.1 percent on average. The significant structural and economic changes in the marketplace are prompting all automakers to further refine actions to respond to these pressures, said Jim O’Donnell, President of BMW of North America, LLC. At BMW, were responding with a number of internal efficiency improvements to offset our increased costs so that we can keep this price increase modest. All 2009 BMW models will be arriving in dealerships starting October. BMW has not released any pricing on the Z4 model line since production will be ending in 2008. Pricing for the 2009 BMW 7-Series will be announced closer to launch.
