Audatex forecasts increase in total losses in 2008, 2009

SAN DIEGO ¡ª Audatex predicts there will be an increase in total losses in 2008 and 2009 in its new issue of its quarterly collision repair publication called Audatex Directions. The rising costs of raw materials, a steady decline in used vehicle wholesale prices and an older insured vehicle population on the road will drive the trend.

The publication also takes a closer look at high-intensity discharge headlights and their impact on claim costs, and how global online buyers are making a big impact on salvage returns,

Audatex Directions provides vehicle insurers and collision repairers with industry trends and in-depth analysis on the auto physical damage market, as well as global best practices that can be implemented locally, in the United States and Canada.

The 24-page publication is available for download at www.audatex.us/audatexdirections. The publication also is being delivered electronically to Audatex North America customers.
