Kia Sorento diesel model makes China debut

Shanghai, September 1 (Gasgoo.com) The 2.5L diesel model of Kia Sorento made its China debut on July 27 when the 30th China-based 4S store of Kia was inaugurated in Guizhou province.
 
 
The Kia Sorento is a compact SUV produced since 2003 by the Korean automaker Kia Motors. The 2.5L diesel Sorento SUVs that debuted in China this time include the luxury and comfort editions, priced at 239,800 yuan ($35,000) and 222,800 yuan respectively.
 
Earlier last year, Kia China announced that it would introduce the 2.5L diesel Sorento to the China market in 2008. Later this year, three more Kia 4S stores will be opened in Chinese cities of Changchun, Nanning and Xining, bringing the number of Kia 4S stores in mainland China to 33 by the end of 2008.
 
Dongfeng Yueda Kia, a joint venture between Chinese automaker Dongfeng Group and Kia Motors, will start to make and sell the new Forte compact sedan in China next year.
