Chrysler Plans To Sell Nine Fiat-Based Vehicles by 2014

Chrysler plans to introduce up to nine new Fiat-based vehicles over a four-year period, beginning in late 2010, according to a detailed product launch schedule buried deep inside the company's latest government-mandated restructuring plan.

Among those new products are a minicompact, a tiny Jeep, a compact SUV and a midsize sedan. Four of the nine Fiat-based models will be hybrid or pure electric vehicles.

Chrysler also has an aggressive electrification program, including the four Fiat-based products and five more of its own design. They include the Lotus-based Dodge Circuit EV roadster, hybrid editions of the Dodge Ram and and new midsize and full-size MPV hybrids.
