A new variant of Chevrolet Spark is set to hit the Indian roads. The new variant is likely to have an 800 cc engine. Currently Chevrolet Spark comes in 1.0L, PS, LS and LT variants.

 

A second price hike from General Motors is quite likely. GM India has hinted that it may revise the prices of its products in India for the second time this year, including its small car model, Chevrolet Spark.

 

General Motors India is also working at developing diesel engines in India with capacities of 1 litre to 1.5 litres which will be offered in the upcoming models and in some of the existing models in its Indian product portfolio. The transmission plant is at an advanced stage of implementation and the company will bring out engines by early 2010.
