LONDON — Although most car companies are busy at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show showcasing their new vehicles, Range Rover is currently tied up at the 2009 London International Boat Show, where it unveiled its new Stormer Edition. The new edition is based on the entry-level Range Rover Sport TDV6 S with twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter diesel, a model that is not offered in the U.S. As part of the package, the Stormer gets 20-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, new front and rear bumpers, integrated rectangular exhaust pipes, body-colored moldings, leather seats and front and rear Park Distance Control (PDC). 'With a host of exterior and interior additions the Range Rover Sport Stormer Edition offers a value-for-money alternative for customers wishing to own a Range Rover Sport with the visual impact of the HST, but at a lower price,' said John Edwards, Land Rover U.K. managing director. The Stormer Edition is available in Santorini Black, Alaska White and Stornoway Grey, and only 300 Stormer Editions will be built. It will go on sale in the U.K. this March.
