Subaru/Toyota rear-wheel-drive sports car

We have no idea where these spy shots came from, but we were tipped by Tim over at Camaro5. Apparently what you see here are the first shots of the Subaru/Toyota rear-wheel-drive coupe that is due out on the market by 2011. From what we see in the pictures, there will be a little hint of the Subaru Legacy.

Power will come from a 2.0 liter boxer engine that produces 220-hp and will be mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Engineers are modifying Subarus 4WD platform to create a new rear-wheel-drive architecture.

Pricing is expected to be under $20,000.
