Visteon Corp Sees demand for devices to grow

VISTEON Corp, the world's leading auto parts supplier, expects demand for auto electronics devices to grow quickly in China as part of car makers' efforts to boost sales through value-added functions.

'The human-machine interface would enjoy fast growth as manufacturers are more willing to spend revenue on features that give good information and entertainment functions for customers,' said Dean Miles, product segment leader for audio and infotainment from Visteon Asia Pacific.

He said the high-value features will be used as incentives to encourage consumers to purchase vehicles during the cooling vehicle market.

Visteon this week launched its first automotive integrated navigation system tailored for Chinese consumers.

The system boasts a series of advanced features including routing options, and a gyrocompass that offer accurate mapping. It also uses Secure Digital memory card to easy map upgrades while its data entry uses pinyin capability.
