Porsche Spiffs Up Rare Cars as New Museum Gets Ready To Open

STUTTGART, Germany — Porsche has made tremendous progress on its new museum here. The automaker has announced that it has finished a major restoration of key vehicles in the past few weeks, including the first prototype of the 924.The German automaker said the first exhibits out of 80 set for display in the museum include a 356 Cabriolet, an original 911 model and the first prototype of the 924. 'In the last few weeks, we have comprehensively restored all the vehicles and polished them up for their use in the museum,' said Klaus Bischof, head of the 'Rolling Museum.'The museum takes its name from the idea that all of the vehicles are continually being replaced by other vehicles, thus constantly changing 'its appearance.'
