Major sops to enhance the sale of fuel-efficient radial tyres

The government is believed to offer incentives to enhance the sale of the fuel efficient and highly economical radial tyres. The incentive package includes excise duty exemption, reduction in import duty on machinery and a concessional value-added tax (VAT) rate for a 10-year period.
