First of all, the ES350 isn't just a Camry with Lexus logo slapped on it. The platform is the same, but the exterior and interior are very different. I also have never seen a Camry with a panoramic glass roof or Mark Levingson sound system.Second, Lexus has already announced a new entry level car based loosely on the prius called the HS250h. I'm assuming that's what this article is referring to.The reason why I say it's based loosely on the Prius is because it is supposed to get 35-40mpg instead of the 55-60mpg the Prius gets. I can't imagine such a difference if the platform is exactly the same. Even if they use a larger engine, it shouldn't have such a dramatic effect. I think they'll gear the HS250h to be more sportier than the Prius and compete with the 1series and A3 like the article mentioned.
