Jiangling Motors Corp Ltd, in which Ford Motor Co holds a 30 pct stake, said it produced 67,680 vehicles and sold 61,284 vehicles in the first eight months of 2008.

In a statement filed with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, the company said it produced 27,291 light trucks, 19,555 Ford Transit commercial vehicles, 18,494 pickups, 3,019 SUVs and 509 microbuses in the period.

It sold 27,766 light trucks, 19,282 Ford Transit commercial vehicles, 18,619 pickups, 2,135 SUVs and 426 microbuses.

In August, it produced 2,894 light trucks, 1,407 pickups, 1,680 Ford Transit commercial vehicles, 59 SUVs and 72 microbuses. It sold sold 2,983 light trucks, 2,037 pickups, 1,959 Ford Transit commercial vehicles, 139 SUVs and 82 microbuses.
