In an interesting (you might be thinking pointless, but that really depends) study, a British Insurance company found out that women are actually sexually aroused by the sounds coming from the engine of a Maserati, Lamborghini or Ferrari.

Hiscox (we’re guessing the name of the insurance company had something to do with the study) Insurance company gathered female and male volunteers and played a 20-minute clip of each car being revved.



Following the test, researchers collected the saliva of the volunteers. Testing for testosterone levels, the researchers found that women had quite a ’significant’ increase in their testosterone level when listening to a Maserati - men showed a 50 percent increase.

Hiscox also tested for the Volkswagen Polo, which actually resulted in an opposite effect with the testosterone levels of women actually dropping.
