1dott8, back in 2001, the sport version of the A4 the S4 competed against the M3, but Audi was tied of getting its butt beat so they brought out the RS4 to the states, that RS4's equivalent to the M3 was the CSL. A higher level of M3 (the highest), just like the RS4 and RS5 are the highest level of the A4 and A5.If the A4/A5 is the competitor to the 3 series sedan and coupe, it would stand to reason, what the S4/s5 is ad the RS version of such are and which BMW that they compete with.
