The China-made Citroen 4 (C4) model, a perfect mix of European styling and modern dynamics, went on sale in China on August 25, priced at 108,000 yuan ($15,800) to 168,000 yuan for different specifications and configurations, said sina.com.cn today.
The C-Quatre hatchback made by Dongfeng Citroen, Dongfeng Motor's joint venture with PSA Peugeot-Citroen, comes in fashion, comfort, luxury versions, powered by a 1.6L or 2.0L engine. The 2.0L 16V engine, also used in the C-Triomphe, adopts the continuously variable valve timing system (VVT) and can generate a power output of 108 kW and a peak torque of 200 Nm, which delivers exceptionally pleasurable driving.  



The Dongfeng Citroen 4S stores nationwide began to receive orders for this car in mid-August, when the car was displayed at the Shanghai family auto show for a close preview by with its potential consumers. The C-Quatre hatchback, with its European styling, state-of-the-art technology, high-quality performance and modern dynamics, is expected to lead China's mid- to high-end hatchback market.

Since its launch in the European market in 2005, the Citroen C-Quatre has sold over two million units worldwide. Its exquisite design and extraordinary charm have garnered for the car several international auto design awards.
