DETROIT — Friday marks the launch of the 2010 Mustang countdown site, the home for the official countdown of days until the new 2010 Ford Mustang is revealed.

The site features loud burnouts and throaty exhaust notes, which combine with some Mustang video footage to create entertainment to amuse fans in the months remaining until the vehicle is unveiled.

There is also a Mustang story contest, which allows enthusiasts to submit a memorable Mustang story and compete for a prize. The winner not only gets a new 2010 Mustang, but will be flown to Los Angeles in November on an all-expenses-paid trip for the unveiling. The contest begins August 27, so start brainstorming those ideas and keep it at 250 words or less.
