Spy Shots: Audi R8 Convertible prototype spotted

 

Other than the much anticipated Audi R8 V10, many Audi fans are looking forward to the convertible version of the R8. Spies recently caught the first prototype testing somewhere in Germany giving us a first look at the soft-top convertible, spider, roadster or targa or whatever you want to call it.

Power is expected to come from the same 4.2L FSI engine producing 420-hp. We expect to see the final product early next year during the auto show season at the 2009 Detroit or Geneva Motor Show.
