McCann Motors Responds to News Reports Regarding Washington State Attorney Gener
FIFE, WA - August 9, 2008: McCann Motors, a premier Cadillac, Hummer andSaab automotive dealer based in Fife, Wash., issues the following statementin response to news reports generated by a press release distributedFriday, Aug. 8, by the Office of the Washington State Attorney General.
McCann Motors has cooperated completely with the Washington StateAttorney General regarding an issue involving the dealership's sale of 79General Motors buy back vehicles during the previous year. We are concernedthat statements made in the news release may be misinterpreted to suggestthat our customers were unaware of their vehicle's history prior topurchase.
'There is nothing more important to our dealership than the trust wehave built with our customers,' says McCann Motors President MelaineMcCann. 'We want to clarify that every customer who purchased one of thesevehicles was fully informed of their vehicle's history, and acknowledgedtheir awareness in writing prior to purchase -- a fact confirmed in thenews release issued earlier today by the Attorney General.'
McCann Motors will continue to cooperate with the Washington StateAttorney General to notify the vehicle buyers about what happened and workout a suitable resolution.
'The Attorney General's staff has been very helpful to us and weappreciate their guidance on this issue,' adds McCann.
