Tech Junky Gets a New Toy: 2008 Toyota Prius

I also have to admit that if you are a tech freak you will also appreciate the dash board. I feel like I am controlling the enterprise every morning I climb behind the wheel. (Please see the attached photo) The controls are user friendly and the screen allows me to see exactly what my mpg is (miles per gallon) in actual time. This allows for the driver to be more pro active in getting the best miles per gallon also referred to as hypermiling. Hypermiling is techniques and practices that can help one get better mpg from their vehicle.

Some statistics about the Prius mpg is 48 and highway mpg is 45. I have actually been averaging 51 mpg. The government safety rating for the Prius is four stars for frontal crash driver and passenger. Five stars for side crash front seat and four stars for side crash backseat. My Prius is seaside pearl but I have seen gold, burgundy, white, black, and sea foam pearl out on the roads. When I went to test my Prius there was only the one on the lot yet two used Prius also were available. My engine is an aluminum double overhead cam (DOHC) 16-valve VVT-i 4-cylinder the valvetrain (a collection of components that enables the valves to operate, including the camshaft and all related components) 4-valve per cylinder with variable valve timing with intelligence (VVT-i).

There are several option packages available. I have MP3 option with mine. You can get satellite radio, six cd changer, hands phone, and navigation system as well for your Prius.

Currently with being so high driving is even more stressful. I took some of the out of my driving and feel a little better about each time I do have to climb behind the wheel.
