Ties up with Aramco in marketing

SAUDI Basic Industries Corp will market petrochemical output for Saudi Aramco to be produced from a Chinese joint venture plant, according to a Saudi Aramco statement.

SABIC will market 320,000 tons annually, or Saudi Aramco‘s 25 percent share of polyolefin products from the refining and petrochemical plant in southeastern Fujian Province, from the second quarter of 2009.

Saudi Aramco owns 25 percent in the Fujian joint venture, China‘s first such integrated refining and petrochemical company with foreign partners, in which Sinopec Corp and the Fujian government own 50 percent and Exxon Mobil the remaining 25 percent.
