Toyota expects its sales in Russia to halve this year due to falling demand.

Toyota sold 207,000 cars in Russia in 2008, the sources said.
 
The company said in July that its sales in Russia had decreased 57.2% on the year to 38,000 vehicles in January-June.
 
Toyota also expects output at its Russian plant to decrease 20% on the year in 2009. The company produced 6,400 cars in 2008, the sources said. In January-June, the company produced around 2,400 cars.
