NAPA Battery Supplier Wins Spirit of NAPA Award

East Penn Manufacturing, a NAPA battery supplier, has been awarded the 33rd Annual "Spirit of NAPA" award. The award is given to the manufacturer with the most outstanding service contribution to the NAPA organization.
"East Penn Manufacturing is the gold standard for NAPA suppliers," said Bob Susor, president of NAPA Auto Parts. "With a 97.4 percent order fill rate and double-digit sales growth they are a great representation of the quality suppliers with whom we work."
 
NAPA Distribution Center general managers throughout the country nominate a supplier for the award based on stringent criteria, including line leadership, shipping performance, product quality and effective cataloging, among others.
 
Nominations for East Penn Manufacturing cited their ability to efficiently pull the product through to the end user as a reason for their selection, "They produce a great product and have done an excellent job on supply, especially during the strong selling seasons. They focus on pulling the product through to the end users as evidenced by the programs they have for both dealer and outside sales representatives. They are just an all-around great suppler."
 
Since 1946, East Penn Manufacturing has been producing a wide variety of lead-acid batteries, battery accessories, and wire and cable products. An independent company, East Penn owns and operates the largest single site battery manufacturing facility in the industry.
 
This is the first time a NAPA Battery supplier has received the award. NAPA Filters, Brake and Mufflers and Shocks suppliers have traditionally dominated the award combining for 18 victories.
 
NAPA Auto Parts distributes parts, accessories, tools and equipment to 6,000 NAPA Auto Parts stores and more than 12,000 NAPA AutoCare Centers nationwide.
